In response to a suggestion I made, In 1997 both Jack and Sondra made lithograph prints related to a landscape that was close at hand and that had a particular interest for them. Jack chose a scene that was outside his studio, leading past an open gate and down a lane. Drawn much more loosely than From Epano, Jack still uses strong diagonal forms to lead the view into his landscape.

Jack worked with liquid tusche diluted in water and a moderately hard litho crayon for structural support.

While we were processing the stone Jack made adjustments to some of the tusche areas by using an acid-biting technique to open up the background washes.
