It is difficult to discuss a print in terms of composition, lighting pattern, tone, negative space, perspective, diagonals, and all of the other formal elements of art, when we know where the objects have been. The objects belonged to a man who died young. Sondra wanted to relate to the young man's mother by offering this print as a memorial to her son.
